NEW: Online ads lead to five arrests in West Palm prostitution sting


Five women were arrested Tuesday in a prostitution operation near Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard, city police said.

Police found the women, ranging in age from 24 to 35, through ads on Backpage.com, a website known for sex-related classifieds.

The women face prostitution-related charges for offering to have sex for money with undercover cops, court records show.

One of the women, a Wellington resident, also faces a charge of violating probation.

The other women are from West Palm Beach, Loxahatchee and Miami, jail records show.
