Investigators are seeking the public’s help identifying a man whose body was found floating in a canal last month in Belle Glade.
On Wednesday, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office released an artist’s rendering of the man, whose body was found the afternoon of Jan. 24 on the 33000 block of Gator Boulevard by a sugar company worker.
The death is being investigated as a homicide, the sheriff’s office said, one of eight confirmed ones in Palm Beach County during 2018.
Investigators describe the man as Hispanic, between the ages of 18 and 25 and about 5 foot 5 and 150 pounds. He has a tattoo on his left arm with the name “Joanna” and one with the name “Jackie” on his left hand near the thumb.
Anyone with information about the death is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 561-688-4050, or Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 1-800-458-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be submitted anonymously by downloading the PBSO smartphone app.
