NEW: 1 injured after shooting in Belle Glade

One person was injured after a shooting in Belle Glade Monday evening, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

Crews were called to the 500 block of Southwest Avenue B, just north of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and west of South Main Street, where an unidentified individual was shot. The person was then transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The circumstances around the shooting are unknown at this time.
