A service to celebrate the life of a Greenacres woman killed last week in Washington, D.C., will be held Tuesday afternoon in Royal Palm Beach.
The family of Wendy Martinez said the service will be held at 2 p.m. at Christ Fellowship’s Royal Palm Beach campus at Southern Boulevard and State Road 7. The service is open to the public.
Martinez, a former Greenacres resident and a 2001 graduate of Lake Worth High School, was fatally stabbed the night of Sept. 18 while jogging in the Logan Circle neighborhood of Washington. She was 35.

Police said the attack was unprovoked. Investigators have arrested 23-year-old Anthony Crawford on a charge of first-degree murder in connection with Martinez’s death.
Martinez was an honors student at Florida Atlantic University and earned a graduate degree from Georgetown University.
She worked for a Washington-based software, data and media company.
She recently was engaged, her family said.
