Two Florida women used stolen credit cards to buy designer items from the Aventura Mall, according to police.
On Monday, police were waiting outside the mall for Danielle Vecchio, 31, of Hollywood and Pamela Williams, 52, of Miami Gardens, according to WPLG.
The women reportedly used the stolen cards from a Sunny Isles Beach woman to buy two pairs of sunglasses for $1,400 from Bloomingdale’s around 4:30 p.m., WPLG reported.
Police were tipped off about the alleged thefts after the two credit cards were declined when the women later attempted to buy a $4,800 handbag from Nordstrom, according to WPLG.
When the cards were declined, the bank contacted the Sunny Isles women who then contacted Aventura Beach Police, WPLG reported.
Vecchio and Williams had five of the woman’s credit cards, and they reportedly planned to resell the purchased items, according to WPLG.
The duo face multiple charges of credit card theft. Vecchio is being held on $82,000 bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, while Williams was released on bond.
