Hunnicutt, who has cerebral palsy and an intellectual development disability, has lived in the group home since she was 9, WFTS reported.

“She hurt me. She tried to get at my neck,” said Hunnicutt, in a video recorded by her sister Erin Hunnicutt, according to WFTS.

Erin Hunnicutt said she complained multiple times after seeing her sister with cuts, bruises and long toenails, WFTS reported.

“It’s wrong. My sister’s nothing but nice to these people and to take advantage of her like that,” Erin told WFTS. “You shouldn’t be putting your hands on anybody.”

PARC’s CEO Karen Higgins told WFTS that Burrell passed a background check and had extensive training.

Burell was charged with abusing a disabled person.
