BREAKING: Teen arrested in Gardens Mall fireworks incident


A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection to a fireworks incident that occurred Monday at The Gardens Mall.

Police say the teen lit a small bundle of fireworks and threw them inside the mall near the Nordstrom store, causing a panic as some mistook the ensuing explosion for gunfire.

The teen, whose name was not disclosed, was taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center to face a charge of disorderly conduct.
