A man shot to death his estranged wife’s boyfriend, then turned the gun and killed himself in a murder-suicide Wednesday afternoon in a Port St. Lucie neighborhood, city police said.
The man’s wife was not harmed.
The married couple was in the process of getting a divorce, according to Sgt. Darin Howie, a spokesman for the Port St. Lucie Department
The situation unfolded short after 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of Southwest Savona Boulevard and Southwest Fletcher Lane.

Police say the gunman followed his wife and her boyfriend’s truck, getting out of his own vehicle when the truck was pulled over.
At that point, the gunman fired shots, striking his wife’s boyfriend, police said.
The boyfriend was taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The gunman died at the scene.
Police did not disclose the victims’ names as they were still attempting to notify their relatives.
