BREAKING: Person flown to hospital after shooting in suburban West Palm Beach


A man was flown by helicopter to a hospital following a shooting Wednesday afternoon in suburban West Palm Beach, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

The shooting took place on the 1000 block of Lake Victoria Drive, west of Florida’s Turnpike and north of Belvedere Boulevard.

The man was shot in the torso, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. There was no word on his condition. 

Detectives from PBSO’s Violent Crime Division and crime scene investigators are at the scene. The shooting took place just before 3 p.m.

Detectives evacuated apartments in the immediate surrounding area and were searching for a female suspect, the sheriff’s office said.
