A man either robbed or attempted to rob a Wells Fargo bank branch on Southern Boulevard on Wednesday morning, West Palm Beach police said.

The man entered the bank, at Southern Boulevard and Lake Avenue, just west of Dixie Highway, shortly after 10 a.m., West Palm Beach police Sgt. David Lefont said. He said the man made a threat to harm employees, then fled in a dark-colored vehicle. No one was injured.

Police would not say Wednesday morning whether the man got away with any money. They described the suspect as a white male with short hair, wearing a U.S. flag black hooded sweatshirt, faded jeans and a black ball cap.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County 800-458-TIPS (8477) or Detective Felix Leon at 561-822-1900.
