BREAKING: Man in alleged father-son rental fraud scheme arrested in Pennsylvania

A man allegedly part of a father-and-son rental fraud scheme has been arrested in Bucks County, Pa., according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Andrew Steven Arce, 27, was arrested by PBSO in July on charges of grand theft and burglary after he allegedly helped scam at least five people out of more than $11,000 in rent money, according to an arrest report.

Arce, of Boca Raton, bonded out of the Palm Beach County Jail on July 7. Detectives sought his arrest again after finding more cases involving Arce.

Steven Arce, Andrew’s 44-year-old father, remains in the jail where he is being held on numerous burglary, grand theft and fraud charges. The Lake Worth man was arrested June 6 on a single grand theft charge, then was re-arrested June 19 after more fraud cases were uncovered.

Authorities also tried to re-arrest Andrew Arce, but were unable to findate him until he was taken into custody in Bucks County, a suburb of Philadelphia. At one point, law-enforcement authorities thought Arce had left the country.

According to PBSO, a total of 23 victims lost almost $44,000 in the scam.
