NEW: $3,000 reward offered for information in Gardens murder case


A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the fatal shooting of a 71-year-old Palm Beach Gardens man, city police said Friday.

Officers are asking for the public’s help in their investigation of the murder of Alan Abrahamson, a BallenIsles Country Club resident whose body was found the morning of Jan. 25 on a sidewalk near the southwest corner of PGA and Central boulevards.

The death marked the the city’s first homicide of the year and Palm Beach County’s seventh, according to a Palm Beach Post online database.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 8004-458-TIPS (8477), or the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department at 561-799-4445. Tips can be submitted anonymously.
