BREAKING: 1 rescued from vehicle in canal near Beeline Highway


Authorities rescued a person trapped in his vehicle after it landed in the bank area of a canal after a two-car crash, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said.

Both vehicles went into the canal following the crash at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Fire Rescue said. One vehicle landed in the canal and another landed in the bank area of the canal following the crash near Beeline Highway and Indiantown Road.

Divers confirmed that no one was in the vehicle in the canal, according to authorities. An adult male was trapped in the vehicle in the bank area. Firefighters had to use tools to cut the patient out of the car.

The male was taken to a hospital for injuries.
