Kips Bay Palm Beach Show House highlights U.S. designers in West Palm Beach’s El Cid neighborhood, raises money

A 1920’s house in West Palm Beach’s El Cid neighborhood has been transformed by 17 design firms from around the country as part design show, part fund raiser for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.

The Kips Bay Palm Beach Show House, in a two-story, Mediterranean home at 196 Belmonte Road, will host a series of events open to the public for the next few weeks, featuring authors, editors, chefs and designers.

The events include a cooking demonstration Dec. 6 with Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa Executive Chef David Viviano; a talk with Scott Currie, co-author of the new bestseller, Joan Rivers Confidential on Dec. 7; a book signing with New York Times culinary editor Sam Sifton on Dec. 13; and a Kips Bay alumni discussion led by House Beautiful Editor-in-Chief Sophie Donelson on Dec. 14; and trunk shows from high-end shops of The Royal Poinciana Plaza.

The events are included in the $35 entry price.

The show house benefits both the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club in New York City and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, which serve more than 10,000 underprivileged youths in New York and 8,000 in Palm Beach County.
