Steam Horse Brewing: Best food near new brewery in West Palm’s Warehouse District

Listen up craft beer fans. Steam Horse Brewing Company opens today in West Palm’s Warehouse District. The newest brewery sits a half-block down the train tracks from Grandview Public Market, the county’s first food hall. Fun fact: Steam Horse’s name was inspired by the abandoned railroad spur that runs between the buildings.

Although the 6000-square-foot space will have many craft beer selections, there will be no food offered at the brewery. But have no fear, visitors can take the newly fixed rail bed from the brewery to the market to find tasty food selections.

For ideas on what to eat, here are some of our favorite bites at the market.

“Roni” square pizza, The Corner

The pizza here is square. It has four corners, hence the name. Chef Dale Talde, who created the spot with his Three King partners, looked to the personal pizzas of his youth for inspiration. The crust takes two days to make, but the labor pays off in depth of flavor.

The Corner offers “red pies” and “white pies,” along with salads.

🌟 Best bite: The “Roni,” studded with pepperoni, pickled chilies and honey.

Chicken Tinga Tacos, Zipitios

The husband-and-wife taco crew made locally famous during “Tacos and Hip Hop” nights on Clematis Street, Zipitios has blossomed into a full-fledged operation. For the tacos, the fillings are diverse – from traditional carne asada to gator.

🌟 Best bite: The Chicken Tinga tacos, which are thoroughly Mexican and rooted in love – the recipe comes from Niria’s mom.

The O.G, Poké Lab Eatery

If you’re looking for a good poké bowl? Step right up to the Poké Lab counter, where you can get a spicy concoction in a “pokerritos” (Wrapped in sushi rice and a roasted seaweed sheet).

Poké is served here over salad, over rice or wrapped as described above. There’s a small menu here, but know that you can build-your-own meal as well.

🌟 Best bite: Can’t beat the O.G., lightly marinated tuna chunks served with veggies. It’s clean, flavorful and delicious.
