Reader’s Choice: Who has the best Hot Dog in Palm Beach County?

It’s been a week since we asked you, the readers, to vote for your favorite hot dog restaurant in Palm Beach County. The competition was tough. Every bun, hot dog , sauce and topping is drool-worthy.

However, with 57.15% of the votes as of Thursday May 25, the title of best hot dog in Palm Beach County easily goes to Ps561 Food Truck.

“Man, I mean. I’m speechless to be honest with you, wow.” said the owner of Ps561 to the Palm Beach Post on Thursday morning. “I bought the company from Aaron Merullo and he’s used to winning this thing, but this is a first one for me. Thank you to all.”

A total of 1,181 readers voted in just 7 days, and 675 of those went to Ps561. Talk about a loyal fan base.

The concept of Ps561 is retro New York public school meets early hip hop. The beef dogs, too, are very New York. The Sabrett franks are served on a toasted, buttered bun (baked in Delray Beach by the Old School Bread Company) and topped with varying amounts of bling, writes Palm Beach Post Food Editor, Liz Balmaseda.

Back to the poll, second place went to Big Daddy’s Hot Dogs with 290 votes, and third place went to Dune Dog Cafe with 99 votes.

The gas vs. electric cooking debate: Fire away

As I watch forests and town on fire around the world, especially around California, I can feel to the bone the destructive power of this gift from God.
