National Cheese Day: Our favorite grilled cheese sandwiches in Palm Beach County

Cheese lovers, it’s your day today! It’s National Cheese Day. And to celebrate, we decided to to reintroduce our favorite cheese sandwiches.

Who doesn’t love the ooey-gooey deliciousness of a perfectly-made grilled cheese sandwich?

Here are five of our favorites to try.


This Italian-inspired neighborhood spot, located on West Palm’s Dixie Dining Cooridor, serves up a yummy grilled cheese sandwich with a side of hearty tomato soup. Yes, please!

Northwood’s Grilled Cheese Gallery serves oozy, toasty sandwiches in an artistic setting. Serving more than a dozen varieties in all, including a sinful “classic” that’s built on rustic white bread and layered with melted cheddar and a pork-cheddar melt with caramelized onions and house-made hickory barbecue sauce called The Chesterfield.

The exclamation sign on Dada’s 7 Cheese Grilled Cheese with cheddar, Swiss, goat, blue, sheep feta, American and provolone cheese, is the creamy tomato bisque, served alongside in a little cast-iron kettle.

The Triple-Decker Grilled Cheese sandwich at Grease is filled with a nice surprise: In addition to American and Muenster cheeses, a wedge of fried queso.

“It’s not a mushy sandwich. We griddle the bread, and we grill our grilled cheese on our flat top, so it’s nice and toasted and crispy,” says Chef Jordan Stilley. “I love that grilled cheese. And if you add some avocado to it, it’s even better.
