Guests can choose from Loic's signature croissants: chocolate, almond, pistachio, chocolate almond, raspberry almond ane cheese Florentine.

A new French bakery cafe, Loic, is now open in downtown West Palm Beach.  The man behind the sweets is popular pastry chef Loic Autret, whose confections are well known to West Palm GreenMarket customers.

The shop’s aim is to spread cheer and friendship through good pastry, he told The Post in a recent interview.

“I want it to be something people will always remember,” Autret said. “I want to make people happy.”

His bakery cafe, which has a chic industrial feel, is tucked into a corner spot in the City Palms building near the corner of South Dixie Highway and Hibiscus Street. There is street parking on Hibiscus, which makes it just a short walk to Loic.

The bakery cafe is having a soft opening this week and the owners hope to have their full menu of sandwiches, homemade artisanal breads, cheese platters, various croissants, tarts, beer and wine, available next week.
