Everything you could want from a Chinese restaurant: lo mein, chow mein, fried rice, egg foo young and a long list of pork, chicken, beef, seafood and vegetable dishes. There are 39 lunch specials priced at $6.70, which include a choice of soup or soda. Dinner combinations are $8.70 and include an egg roll.
Most of the business is takeout, but there are a couple of tables for dining in. There’s a comfortable bench for those waiting for an order.
OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE
We all wanted chicken combination dishes ($8.70). My husband’s bourbon chicken was the best, followed by my sesame chicken. Both had tasty sauces on the sweet side, and the servings were generous and the chicken tender. My husband ordered his with pork fried rice, while I had mine with plain fried rice. We both enjoyed egg rolls with our dinners. Our friend tried the chicken and broccoli dinner, and opted for brown rice ($1 extra). He also ordered an egg roll and agreed that it was very good. Our only regret was the chicken teriyaki appetizer ($4.75), which was dry and tough to chew.
REASON TO GO
For a quick, inexpensive meal, it’s a good choice.
I ordered online, which was a simple process. My food was not ready when I arrived, but the wait was less than five minutes. Everything was packaged nicely, and the order was filled correctly.
Not an issue for me. Because the restaurant does a busy takeout business, there can be some foot traffic — but it shouldn’t be bothersome to anyone dining in.
If the kids like Chinese food, they’ll be happy here.
