Critic’s Choice: This is the best new restaurant in Palm Beach County

Palm Beach Post Food Editor, Liz Balmaseda picked the best in dining for 2017 in the Critic’s Choice Awards. The picks are subjective and based on her 2017 dining experiences.

An excerpt from the 2017 Critic’s Choice Awards:

Best New Restaurant

One doesn’t just drive by this restaurant – one must seek it out. Costa is tucked into the second floor of the quiet 150 Worth building in Palm Beach. But once you arrive at the restaurant, you find a fetching spot awash in the hues of the Mediterranean Sea, a setting that’s as lovely for lunch as it is for dinner, drinks or Sunday brunch.

More importantly, the food is exquisite. Chef David Valencia has brought global soul and a refined touch to a menu that pays tribute to Greek and Turkish cuisines.

Costa is not only worth seeking out, it’s the must-visit new restaurant.

Costa: 150 Worth Avenue #234, Palm Beach; 561-429-8456.

This was about a decade ago, before I really got into food and before "artisan" was a catchy byword. As fun as it was tossing back shots of raspberry balsamic vinegar, the habit wasn't sustainable...
