The small, crispy falafel balls at Costa must be the most addictive bar bites in Palm Beach. It was just one of the dishes I sampled on a visit to the newish Mediterranean restaurant that’s tucked into the second level of the 150 Worth shopping plaza.
They’re not on the menu, but Costa’s executive chef, David Valencia, often makes them for happy hour – and he’ll make them, if you ask.
And again, I repeat: These marble-size falafel balls, served with a garlicky hummus dip, are dangerously addictive.
I would have visited much sooner had I realized what I was missing: chef Valencia’s delicious mezze, salads and one of the best branzino dishes I’ve ever had. The chef bakes the fish in a salt crust for a super-moist, delicate (and not at all salty) finish.

The place may be tucked away, but it’s easy enough to reach and it’s deserving of a spot on the local foodie radar. Valet parking is free.
