National clothing chain closing, another opening in The Gardens Mall

The Gap is set to close its doors at The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens.

Signs posted around the store advertise that everything must go, offering shoppers discounts on clothing and other items.

Gap, Inc. announced in September that it would close roughly 200 under-performing Gap and Banana Republic specialty locations over the next three years. It was unclear whether the Palm Beach Gardens location is one of those stores.

Meanwhile, Talbots, a women’s clothing retailer, plans to re-open in the mall sometime next year. The date of the opening has not been released.

Talbots had a store in the mall but closed it in 2013.
