Four Palm Beach County companies ranked near the top of the annual Inc. 500 list of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.
Experimac, a West Palm Beach-based franchise, led the way among local companies. The company ranked 57th nationally, based on revenue that soared 4,788 percent, to $12.4 million in 2017.
Experimac, whose franchisees throughout the country repair and upgrade of Apple products, isn’t the classic garage startup that typically characterizes the Inc. 500.
Instead, it’s the brainchild of United Franchise Group, the West Palm Beach-based franchising company behind Signarama, Jon Smith Subs and other companies.
The Inc. 500 list ranks privately held companies based on their three-year revenue growth. The other three Palm Beach County companies to make the cut:
- reCommerce of Boca Raton. The business solutions company placed 62nd nationally. Sales jumped 4,547 percent to $11.3 million.
- AlturnaTech of Boca Raton. The IT managment company ranked 129th. Revenue rose 3,082 percent to $10.3 million.
- Digital Resource of West Palm Beach. The advertising and marketing company placed 262nd. Its revenue rose 1,855 percent to $2 million.
Digital Resource says it just signed a lease for 9,000 square feet of office space at the PNC Bank Building in downtown West Palm Beach and plans to move in January. The company, run by 26-year-old founder Shay Berman, says it plans to grow to 100 employees, including specialists in search engine optimization, social media marketing and web development.
