Craft beer and pizza coming to Singer Island

Beer Florida, Inc., the owners of DAS Beer Garden in Downtown Abacoa, will open a new craft beer and pizza joint in Singer Island.

DAS Craft Beer & Pizza will offer more than 60 craft beers and creative pizza offerings from DAS Head Chef Jason Rohrbach in its 5,500-square-foot location at 2415 N. Ocean Drive in the Ocean Walk plaza, near Da Big Kahuna surf shop and New York Bagel Cafe & Deli.

The new location also will feature a 100-square-foot stage, an indoor bocce ball court, a foosball table and a 500-square-foot patio, with beach access, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Owners credit the expansion to a 400 percent increase in sales since Beer Florida bought DAS Beer Garden in January 2017.

“We knew this time around we wanted to build a new concept from the ground up. Ocean Walk not only enables us to do that, but it’s home to an incredible set of partner businesses, prime beachside event space and patrons we can’t wait to throw back a beer with,” said Beer Florida president and CEO Art Peacock in a press release.

The restaurant is expected to open in the first quarter of 2019.
