Kathi Kretzer, owner of Kretzer Piano, was named Business Leader or the Year by the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce.

Kretzer Piano, a music retailer in Jupiter,  will close its doors after a final liquidation sale next month.
The company, which has been in business in Palm Beach County for 33 years, plans to hold the public sale on March 10 and 11. The store will close following the liquidation.

Owner Kathi Kretzer-Sayler, who is also the founder of the Kretzer Piano Music Foundation, announced in January that she was retiring and planned to close the store.

“We still have 70 top quality pianos left – vertical, grand, digital and more, both new and used –that’s 6,160 different keys, both black and white,” Kretzer-Sayler said in a news release announcing the sale Monday. “Steinway, Kawai, Baldwin, Pearl River, Yamaha – the most prestigious names in the industry – now available at incredible sale prices, but the big tick-tock is on and time is running out.”

Kretzer-Sayler opened the first Kretzer Piano in West Palm Beach in 1985. She moved the business to Jupiter in 2009.
