A gusty, cloudy day is in store for Palm Beach County after a sunny weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Expect winds between 16 and 21 mph, with wind gusts as high as 26 mph during the day. The high temperature will be in the upper 70s, forecasters predict, with partly sunny skies.
Because of the wind, there’s an increased risk of rip currents for the beaches. NWS issued a hazardous weather outlook, predicting a high risk for rip currents starting today.
In the evening, more clouds roll in along with a 20 percent chance of showers. The low temperature hovers in the low 70s, with winds between 13 and 15 mph. Gusts could be up to 20 mph.
On Tuesday, expect a warmer day, with a high temperature in the low 70s. Strong winds will remain, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Forecasters predict a low temperater in the mid-70s on Tuesday night, with the wind tempering out around 15 mph.
