Video: Miami, Notre Dame fans brawl during Saturday’s game

It must be something about the South Florida heat that makes the Miami fan base a little feisty. Or maybe the fact that the Hurricanes are 9-0 and are likely to be a top-four team when the new College Football Playoff rankings come out.

Either way, for the second week in a row, Miami fans decided to throw hands.

Instead of a Miami supporter trying to slug a cop -- like the week before -- a couple Hurricanes fans were tussling with a couple Notre Dame fans last Saturday.

In a 40-second clip posted by the Twitter handle @RIFAYAYO, a nasty yet almost comical brawl breaks out outside the women’s restroom by sections 129-130 of Hard Rock Stadium.

Punches and drinks are throw during the melee. Two men, who appear to be wearing UM shirts, break up the fight.

According to the Miami Herald, 911 was not called and no arrests were made

Two weeks ago, during the Virginia Tech game, a video went viral after it appeared a police officer punched a woman in the face.

In the video, a female fan was removed from the game after she was reportedly behaving in a disorderly manner. While she was being carried out by four Miami-Dade police officers, she slapped one of them on the back of the head. The officer then turned around and appeared to punch her in the face. The police charged the Miami fan with felony battery.
