Softball: No. 3 Wellington rolls to victory


Bailey Cain hit a three-run home run, leading the third-ranked Wellington softball team to a 10-0 rout of Seminole Ridge on Wednesday in Wellington.

Hannah Dube added two singles for the Wolverines (12-3).

No. 4 Royal Palm Beach 11, Forest Hill 2: Paige Houch was 4-for-5 with four singles as the Wildcats (13-4) handled the Falcons in West Palm Beach.

No. 8 Spanish River 16, Santaluces 0: Lizz Gollin struck out seven batters and Taylor Karter was 2-for-2 with a triple and two RBIs as the Sharks (7-4) routed the Chiefs in Boca Raton.

No. 10 Boca Raton 4, American Heritage 3: Jillian Schaipor had a hit and drove in two runs, but the Stallions (5-5) fell to the Bobcats in Delray Beach.

Cardinal Newman 7, Benjamin 4: Eliza Hervst went 2-for-4 with an RBI as the Crusaders (6-7) defeated the Buccaneers in West Palm Beach.
