Softball: No. 3 Wellington earns road victory

Kate DeSimone pitched a three-hitter, leading the second-ranked Wellington softball team to a 2-0 victory over South Fork on Tuesday night in Stuart.

Lexi Butler was 2-for-3 with two runs scored for the Wolverines (18-3).

No. 2 Jupiter 6, West Boca Raton 4: Rachel Frankhouser was 3-for-5 with two singles and a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored as the Warriors defeated the Bulls.

No. 4 Royal Palm Beach 1, No. 7 Park Vista 0: Cassidy Trimble collected a double, but the Cobras fell to the Wildcats in Lake Worth.

Seminole Ridge 10, Dwyer 3: Taylor Pennica hit a three-run home run and Megan Froelich pitched a complete game as the Hawks defeated the Panthers in Palm Beach Gardens.

Santaluces 19, Lake Worth 0 (3): Aimee Scalo was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, and Maddie Garcia went 2-for-3 with three runs scored as the Chiefs (8-10) routed the Trojans in Lantana.

Lake Worth Christian 10, Trinity Christian 0: Geneva Alpert was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs and Katelyn Robine went 4-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored and also struck out nine on the mound as the Defenders shut down the Warriors.
