Threat forces evacuation of Delray Beach Walmart

Softball: No. 4 Royal Palm edges No. 9 Spanish River


Jamie Tino struck out 13 batters, helping the fourth-ranked Royal Palm Beach softball team edge ninth-ranked Spanish River 4-3 on Wednesday in Boca Raton.

Nicole Hayslip was 2-for-3 with a single and a triple for the Wildcats (17-5).

No. 6 Olympic Heights 11, Carindal Newman 1: Katelyn Cunningham struck out five on the mound and went 2-for-3 with two RBIs at the plate as the Lions (17-4) dominated the Crusaders in Boca Raton.

Santaluces 15, Palm Beach Lakes 5: Dana Strzlecki hit a single, a double, and had four RBIs as the Chiefs routed the Rams in Lantana.
