Softball: Jupiter’s Costa pitches perfect game


Ally Costa pitched a perfect game with eight strikeouts, leading the Jupiter softball team to a 3-0 victory over Royal Palm Beach on Tuesday night.

Shelby Russo drove in two runs for the Warriors.

Palm Beach Gardens 14, Suncoast 2: Brianna Clary was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Savannah Jones went 2-for-3 with an RBI as the Gators (5-0) rolled over the Chargers in Riviera Beach.

West Boca Raton 19, Dwyer 4: Stephanie Proenza was 3-for-3 with three RBIs; Nikki Perrault went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and Jordyn Lyman doubled and scored three runs scored as the Bulls (3-3) coasted past the Panthers in Boca Raton.

Oxbridge Academy 16, King’s Academy 1: Lianna Mullins was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and also struck out six in just two innings pitched, leading the ThunderWolves (5-2) to the rout of the Lions (1-2) in West Walm Beach. Josie Foreman went 2-for-2 with a home run and four RBIs and Caridad Estes was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs.

Boca Raton 10, Fort Lauderdale-Calvary Christian 7: Sierra Cochran had three hits and an RBI; Carolina Garcia added two hits and four RBIs, and Dacia Green collected two hits and an RBI as the Bobcats (5-2) got past the Eagles.
