Soccer: Boca Raton girls roll in district semifinal


Dayana Martin scored four goals, leading the Boca Raton girls soccer team to an 8-0 rout of Coconut Creek-Monarch in the District 12-5A semifinals Wednesday in Boca Raton.

Kendra Cashion contributed two more goals for the top-seeded Bobcats (14-2-1) against the fourth-seeded Knights.

District 11-5A

Wellington 3, Palm Beach Central 0: Lauryn Auger scored two goals, and Alexa Kovi earned her eighth shutout of the season, as the second-seeded Wolverines (17-3-1) shut out the third-seeded Broncos in a semifinal in Boynton Beach.

District 10-5A

Jupiter 6, Port St. Lucie-Treasure Coast 1: Isabella Benavente and Makenzie Blaser each had a goal and an assist as the second-seeded Warriors (14-4) handled the third-seeded Titans in the semifinals in Port St. Lucie.

District 14-4A

West Boca Raton 6, Fort Lauderdale 0: Kelsey Clark scored three goals and Julia Wheeler earned her second solo shutout, as the top-seeded Bulls routed the fourth-seeded Flying L’s in the semifinals in Boca Raton.

Olympic Heights 3, Lauderdale Lakes-Boyd Anderson 0: Haley Jacobowitz and Eva Giorbano each scored a goal for the Lions (14-5-2) against the Cobras in the semifinals in Boca Raton.

District 13-2A

Oxbridge Academy 1, Cardinal Newman 0: Hannah Kanjian scored the goal for the top-seeded ThunderWolves as they edged the fourth-seeded Crusaders in West Palm Beach.

District 11-1A

Jupiter Christian 4, Somerset Canyons 0: Gia Vastola scored three goals and Tatyanna Canon added another as the second-seeded Eagles defeated the third-seeded Jaguars in the semifinal in Boynton Beach.

Lake Worth Christian 2, Berean Christian 1 (2 OTs): Brace Montero scored the winning goal as the top-seeded Defenders (18-1) edged the fourth-seeded Bulldogs in the semifinals in Boynton Beach.

BOYS SOCCER

American Heritage 6, Spanish River 1: Alexandre Guichard and Therdens Conserve each scored two goals, leading the Stallions to the rout of the Sharks in Delray Beach.

Atlantic 4, Olympic Heights 1: John Nalus and Schimiliguen Castin each scored two goals for the Eagles over the Lions in Delray Beach.
