Lacrosse: Dywer boys hold off American Heritage


Preston Bierman had four goals and two assists, helping the Dwyer boys lacrosse team hold off American Heritage on Friday in Palm Beach Gardens.

Sean Haymes added three goals for the Panthers (3-1).

Ryan Cohen scored seven goals for Heritage.

Boca Raton 16, Palm Beach Central 0: Logan Kigar scored five goals; Zach Frey added four and Spencer Dobkin collected the shutout as the Bobcats (4-0) routed the Broncos in Boca Raton.

Cardinal Newman 8, Suncoast 2: Teddy Ward, Nate Grant and Christian Mercurio each scored two goals and Joey Mockoviak had 12 saves as the Crusaders handled the Chargers in West Palm Beach.

GIRLS

Jupiter 6, St. Andrew’s 3: Juliana Aiello had two goals and two draw controls forcing three turnovers and Jackie Smith added a goal and three draw controls resulting in two turnovers as the Warriors (3-1) doubled up on the Scots in Jupiter.
