BOWLER OF THE YEAR
Logan Coffey, Jupiter, Sr.
Why: Averaged 208.5 at the State Individual Qualifying Round. Finished 29th at the 2017 state tournament. Finished tied for sixth at the 2016 state tournament. Was the 2016 Bowler of the Year.
What was the highlight of your season? Winning the district championship and bowling a very high series.
When did you first start playing your sport? My first time bowling was in a summer league in 8th grade with my cousin Tyler and Caden.
What are your college plans? My college plans are to achieve a degree in the medical field.
Who is the athlete you most admire, and why? My biggest athlete influence would be Michael Jordan because of his work ethic and incredible athleticism.
What is the song that gets you most pumped up before a game? The song that pumps me up is “Congratulations” by Post Malone.
What’s your favorite social media tool and why? My favorite social media is Snapchat because I can socialize quickly and easily with friends and family.
What was your favorite movie this year? My favorite movie this year was “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.”
COACH OF THE YEAR
Rick Emery, Jupiter: Guided team to a district title and a fifth-place finish at the state tournament. Team finished the season with a 77-4 record.
BOYS FIRST TEAM
Daniel Bosic, Jupiter, So.: Only bowler from Palm Beach County to reach final 16 at state tourney. Averaged 206 and had a season game of 265. Helped team to district title.
Jacob Conner, Park Vista, So.: Averaged 202 this season. Rolled a three-game series of 638 to help team finish second at the district tournament,
Jarren Dudden, Jupiter, Jr.: Finished season with a 208 average. Had a four-game series of 789 to finish 42nd at the state tournament.
Isaac Gorzynski, Jupiter, Jr.: Had a 693 series to win District 12 title and advance to the state tournament. Finished season with a 194 average.
Dominic Grazioso, Boynton Beach, Sr.: Rolled a three-game series 717 to help the Tigers to a district championship. Had a 216 at the state tournament.
Nick Healton, Seminole Ridge, Sr.: Came close to perfection with a season-high 288. Averaged 205 and has signed with Northwest Missouri State University.
Justin Kelleher, Park Vista, Sr.: Rolled a four-game series of 748 at the state tournament. Helped team finish second at districts and advance to state.
Matthew Verzi, Dwyer, Sr.: Helped lead the Panthers to a second-place finish at district and advance to the state tournament. Averaged 202 this season.
