Jupiter, American Heritage, Wellington win in baseball


No. 1 Jupiter 9, No. 7 Palm Beach Central 7: Noah Otero-Vargas went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and one RBI as the Warriors (14-3) outlasted the Broncos in Wellington.

No. 2 American Heritage 2, Douglas 1: Kevin Shulman had five strikeouts while Michael Malinchak had the game-winning hit in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Stallions (14-4) outlasted the Eagles in Delray Beach.

No. 3 Wellington 4, Atlantic 3: Christian Vasquez had three hits, but the Wolverines (11-5) fell to the Eagles in Wellington.

Santaluces 3, Seminole Ridge 1: Sebastian Campos pitched five innings, allowed no runs, four hits, two strikeouts and no walks, and Angel Diaz had a double, a sacrifice fly and two walks as the Chiefs (6-9) got past the Hawks (10-8).

Glades Day 14, Stuart-Community Christian 9: Lorenzo Powell was 5-for-5 with a triple and four RBI; Oscar Ruiz went 2-for-4 and had an RBI, and Rett Lohmann was 1-for-2 with an RBI as the Gators (10-5) defeated the Cougars.
