Girls soccer: Spanish River earns fifth victory


Kayla Chandler scored four goals, for a total of nine this week, leading the Spanish River girls soccer team to a 9-0 rout of Atlantic on Thursday night.

The Sharks improved to 5-1-2 on the season after the match was called at halftime.

Olympic Heights 12, Miami Beach-RASG Hebrew Academy 0: Victoria Barreto earned her seventh shutout and nine different players scored a goal as the Lions (5-1-2) rolled to the easy win over the Warriors in Boca Raton.

Saint John Paul II 8, Coral Springs Christian 0: Erika Dagher had three goals and an assist and Isabel Sasso added two goals and an assist as the Eagles (4-2) rolled over the Crusaders (2-4) in Boca Raton.

Davie-University School 2, St. Andrew’s 1: Sydney Jones scored the lone goal with the assist from Remi Matsil, but the Scots (0-5-1) fell to the Suns in Davie.
