Girls soccer: Lake Worth Christian improves to 16-1


Mary Beckwith scored two goals, leading the Lake Worth Christian girls soccer team to a 5-1 rout of Boca Raton Christian on Tuesday night in Boynton Beach.

Samantha Waldman added a goal for the Defenders (16-1).

Cardinal Newman 4, Dwyer 2: Rebekah Brawley scored a hat trick and Jennifer Jacobs added a goal as the Crusaders (12-6) doubled up on the Panthers in West Palm Beach.

King’s Academy 2, Fort Lauderdale-Calvary Christian 0: Ashley George and Alli Graves each scored a goal and Alex Lares added an assist as the Lions (3-11) shut out the Eagles in West Palm Beach.

Olympic Heights 5, Inlet Grove 0: Skylar Deutch had two goals and an assist and Victoria Barreto had two saves for her 16th shutout as the Lions (15-3-2) handled the Hurricanes in Boca Raton.

Oxbridge Academy 3, Southwest Ranches-Archbishop McCarthy 3: Lizzy Spears scored two goals, Allison Breed added another and Merissa Chu and Henriette Purina combined for seven saves in net as the ThunderWolves (6-1-3) tied the Mavericks in Southwest Ranches.

West Boca Raton 2, Spanish River 1: Emily Thill and Kelsey Clark each scored a goal and Trinity King had five saves as the Bulls (14-1-1) edged the Sharks in Boca Raton.

Glades Central 2, Glades Day 0: The Raiders shut down the Gators in Belle Glade.
