Girls soccer: Jupiter shuts down Palm Beach Gardens


Emily McKensie scored two goals, leading the Jupiter girls soccer team to a 3-0 win over Palm Beach Gardens on Tuesday in Palm Beach Gardens.

Brielle Pearce added a goal and Julia Cain and Sophia Flores combined for the shutout for the Warriors (3-0).

American Heritage 5, Cardinal Newman 0: Sarah Borer had three goals and two assists and Sylvia Ng added two goals as the Stallions (2-0) shut down the Crusaders in West Palm Beach. Jonelle Barron earned her second shutout in goal for Heritage.

St. John Paul II Academy 9, Donna Klein Academy 1: Celena Liguori had three goals and an assist and sister Maria Liguori added a goal and two assists as St. John Paul II (2-1) won in Boca Raton.

Lake Worth Christian 12, Atlantic Christian 0: Emma DiPauli had two goals and an assist and Sara Palahunik and Angelina Adolphy contributed two goals apiece as the Defenders (3-0) rolled over the Saints in Boynton Beach.

Clewiston 3, King’s Academy 0: The Lions (0-1) fell to the Tigers late Monday in Clewiston.
