Girls basketball: No. 2 Oxbridge Academy earns win

Nashani Gilbert-Taylor scored 16 points, leading the second-ranked Oxbridge Academy girls basketball team to a 65-51 victory over Fort Pierce Central on Wednesday night in West Palm Beach.

Kaylon Smith contributed 14 points for the ThunderWolves (7-3).

Palm Beach Central 59, Royal Palm Beach 12: Jasmine Malone had 18 points and six rebounds and Yoslene Quiles added 18 and six steals, leading the Broncos (2-4) to the rout of the Wildcats in Wellington.

Seminole Ridge 50, Boynton Beach 35: Jahnae Midget had 20 points and five rebounds, Lynzie Smikle added eight points and 10 rebounds and Kyla Lewis contributed 11 points and two assists as the Hawks (4-4) stopped the Tigers in Loxahatchee.

American Heritage 39, Coral Springs Charter 36: Bianca Cherubin’s 16 points helped the Stallions (1-6) win in Delray Beach.
