Girls basketball: No. 1 PB Lakes routs No. 5 West Boca

Britney Wilcox had 22 points and eight rebounds, leading the Palm Beach Lakes girls basketball team to an 89-56 rout of West Boca Raton in a battle of ranked teams Thursday night in West Palm Beach.

Remi Halyard added 17 points and nine rebounds, and Sh’naya Anderson contributed 15 points and six rebounds for the top-ranked Rams (8-0)

The fifth-ranked Bulls suffered their first loss, dropping to 6-1 on the season.

No. 3 Palm Beach Gardens 58, Seminole Ridge 25: Kyandra Poitier had 12 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks and Kiera Brown added 14 points, eight assists, six steals and five rebounds as the Gators (6-2) overpowered the Hawks in Palm Beach Gardens.

No. 4 Boca Raton 81, Park Vista 40: Audrey Ramsey scored 21 points, Taylor Bennett added 19 and Hannah Pratt contributed 15 points, 22 rebounds, six steals and four blocks as the Bobcats routed the Cobras in Boynton Beach.

No. 6 Santaluces 66, Spanish River 29: Whitney Howell had 18 points and 15 rebounds, sister Brittney Howell added 10 points, Emiah Downie scored 14 points, and Heaven Sanders contributed 15 points and four steals as the Chiefs (8-2) rolled over the Sharks in Lantana.

Jupiter 47, John I. Leonard 40: Veronica Edwards had 13 points and eight rebounds and Megan McCants added 10 points and six assists to lead the Warriors (8-2) over the Lancers (4-8) in Greenacres. For John I. Leonard, Aja Gregg had 11 points and nine rebounds and Tania Turner added nine points, three assists and three steals.

Boynton Beach 54, Olympic Heights 8: Destiny Reddick had 12 points and 10 assists, Markayjah Andrews added 11 points and 11 rebounds and Ivory Denson contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds as the Tigers (3-4) coasted past the Lions in Boynton Beach.

Royal Palm Beach 44, Glades Central 33: Anaia Banks had 15 points and two blocks, Beona Washington added nine points, and Marie Lebrun contributed seven assists as the Wildcats (2-6) defeated the Raiders in Royal Palm Beach.

Suncoast 67, Port St. Lucie 20: Kassidie Williams had 18 points, seven assists and six steals, Noelle Bedard added 13 points and Sakeria Jones contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds as the Chargers (5-3) overpowered the Jaguars in Port St. Lucie.

St. Andrew’s 51, Coconut Creek-North Broward Prep 34: Kayla DeHerrera and Alexa Gutchess scored 12 points apiece as the Scots (7-3) handled the Eagles in Boca Raton.

King’s Academy 39, Fort Lauderdale-Calvary Christian 27: Haley Gantt had 14 points and Isabel Albert added 11 points as the Lions (8-1) defeated the Eagles in West Palm Beach.

Lake Worth Christian 39, Port St. Lucie-Morningside Academy 28: Jillian Schenk scored 17 points and Riley Mizell added nine to lead the Defenders (9-2) over the Eagles in Boynton Beach.
