Girls basketball: King’s Academy wins on late basket

Brianna McDaniel made the game-winning basket with 3.5 seconds remaining as the King’s Academy girls basketball team edged Fort Lauderdale-Pine Crest 59-57 on Tuesday night in Fort Lauderdale.

Madison Lee scored 23 points and Haley Gantt added 17 for King’s (12-4).

No. 2 Oxbridge Academy 72, Glades Central 15: Aaliyah Stanley scored 13 points and Natalie Zoller added 12 as the Thunderwolves (16-4) rolled over the Raiders in West Palm Beach.

Park Vista 65, Boynton Beach 48: Brooke Bogatz had 29 points, 11 assists and eight steals, Cayla Polsky added 15 points, six rebounds and five blocks and Emily Mauser contributed nine points, four assists and four rebounds as the Cobras (10-5) defeated the Tigers in Boynton Beach.

Seminole Ridge 70, Royal Palm Beach 28: Aneeshea Cason scored 28 points and Jahnae Midget added 16 as the Hawks (9-7) cruised past the Wildcats in Loxahatchee. Savannah Reynolds and Tasha Joseph scored eight points apiece for Royal Palm.

Forest Hill 37, Inlet Grove 33: Anayah Coles had 16 points, 12 rebounds and four steals, Gabby Powell added eight points, four steals and three assists and Jah’nay Normil contributed six points, 12 rebounds and two blocks as the Falcons (3-12) held off the Hurricanes in Riviera Beach. Toni Andrews scored 22 points for Inlet.

Lake Worth Christian 62, Boca Raton Christian 7: Jillian Schenk scored 20 points and Marley Estornell added 14 as the Defenders (14-4) rolled past the Blazers in Boynton Beach.

Atlantic Christian 60, Trinity Christian 12: Britney Carver made seven 3-pointers and scored 27 points to go along with five rebounds; Kelly Noel added 11 points, nine assists, 12 steals and three rebounds and Jennifer Rodriguez contributed eight points and nine rebounds as the Sharks (7-4) rolled over the Warriors in Lake Worth.

Berean Christian 57, Pompano Beach-Highlands Christian 49: Jenna Brannon scored a career-high 29 points and Rachel Perez added 12 as the Bulldogs (10-7) held off the Knights in West Palm Beach.
