Girls Basketball: King’s Academy, John I. Leonard, Benjamin post wins


King’s Academy 52, Pompano Beach-Highlands Christian 18: Madison Lee had 12 points and Haley Gantt added 21 points, 10 blocks and 13 rebounds as the Lions (3-0) defeated the Knights in West Palm Beach.

John I. Leonard 56, Boynton Beach 38: Zaida Gonzalez had 20 points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals, Aja Gregg had 13 points, 17 rebounds and five blocks, and Tecaria Glover had eight points, seven rebounds, five steals and seven assists as the Lancers (4-2) handled the Tigers in Boynton Beach. Ivory Denson scored 10 points for Boynton Beach.

Benjamin 66, Fort Pierce-Lincoln Park Academy 48: Elizabeth Laszewski scored 24 points and Damya Preston added 14 points and four assists as the Buccaneers outpaced the Greyhounds in Fort Pierce.

Atlantic Christian Academy 51, Trinity Christian 10: Kelly Noel scored 16 points, Chasity Lockhart added 14 points, 10 rebounds and three assists and Britney Carver contributed 11 points, including two three-pointers, four assists, five steals and three rebounds as the Saints (4-1) defeated the Warriors in West Palm Beach.

Plantation-American Heritage 76, Lake Worth Christian 39: Jillian Schenk had 21 points and Riley Mizell added six points, but the Defenders (3-1) fell to the Stallions in Boynton Beach.

Fort Lauderdale-Pine Crest 44, Berean Christian 36: Jenna Brannon had 14 points, Rachel Perez added nine points and Zoe Baumeler grabbed four steals, but the Bulldogs (0-3) fell to the Panthers in West Palm Beach.
