Girls basketball: Howell leads No. 6 Santaluces


Whitney Howell had 26 points and 30 rebounds, leading the sixth-ranked Santaluces girls basketball team to a 70-35 rout of Atlantic on Tuesday night in Lantana.

Heaven Sanders added 22 points for the Chief (7-2).

No. 7 Benjamin 75, Fort Pierce-John Carroll 33: Emma Laszewski led all scorers with 23 points and six rebounds, Anise Williams added 15 points and Deborrah Redmon contributed 11 points and four steals as the Buccaneers (8-1) rolled over the Golden Rams in Fort Pierce.

King’s Academy 54, Inlet Grove 24: Haley Gantt scored 16 points and Madison Lee added 15 as the Lions (8-1) routed the Hurricanes in West Palm Beach.

Suncoast 50, South Fork 36: Britney Brown scored 13 points, Kassidie Williams added 10 and Sakeria Jones contributed eight, leading the Chargers (4-3) over the Bulldogs in Stuart.

Coconut Creek-North Broward Prep 33, American Heritage 30: Bianca Cherubin scored 18 points, but the Stallions fell to the Eagles in Delray Beach.
