Girls basketball: Forest Hill picks up win over Pahokee

Gabby Powell scored 15 points, leading the Forest Hill girls basketball team to a 40-22 rout of Pahokee on Wednesday in Pahokee.

Maya LaGrotta added seven points for the Falcons, who improved to 4-15.

No. 3 Palm Beach Lakes 70, Palm Beach Gardens 52: Rashara Simmons scored 17 points, leading the Rams over the Gators in Palm Beach Gardens. Kiera Brown scored 15 points for the Gators.

Park Vista 45, Palm Beach Central 40: Brooke Bogatz had 20 points, six rebounds, eight assists and five steals, and Cayla Polsky added 16 points, six rebounds, and five blocks, helping the Cobras (12-9) hold off the Broncos in Lake Worth.

Dwyer 51, Cardinal Newman 40: Grace Hundley made six 3-pointers, but the Crusaders fell to the Panthers in West Palm Beach.

Boynton Beach 40, Inlet Grove 8: Ja’Naia Moran had 12 points, six steals and five rebounds, leading the Tigers to the rout of the Hurricanes in Boynton Beach.

Suncoast 40, Lake Worth 23: Mia Pastore scored nine points, Jamia Moore contributed eight points and 10 rebounds and Kassidie Williams added eight points and five assists as the Chargers (11-11) defeated the Trojans in Riviera Beach.
