Girls basketball: Atlantic tops Dwyer


Trenette Johnson, Amari Allen and Esther Balogun each scored 10 points, helping Atlantic top Dwyer 55-54 on Tuesday night in Delray Beach.

With the win, the Eagles improved to 2-5 on the season.

Yeshiva 52, Berean Christian 36: Emma Franck scored a game-high 18 points and Gabi Englander added 15, leading the Storm over the Bulldogs in West Palm Beach. Jessica Nodell had 14 points and three blocks for Berean.

Atlantic Christian 50, Village Academy 48: Seniya King scored 17 points and Diamond Bizens added 15 points as the Fighting Saints (3-2) defeated the Tigers in West Palm Beach. Alexis Peele scored 16 points for the Tigers.

Fort Lauderdale-Pine Crest 66, King’s Academy 30: Haley Gantt scored 15 points, but the Lions fell in West Palm Beach.

Palm Beach Gardens 51, Palm Beach Central 43: Kiera Brown scored 20 points and Kyandra Poiter added 15 as the Gators got past the Broncos late Monday in Wellington. Najia Woodie scored 13 points for Central.
