Cardinal Newman, King’s Academy, Oxbridge advance in girls lacrosse


Cardinal Newman 16, Seminole Ridge 7: Kelly Dennis had 21 draw controls and a goal, and MacKenzie Porter added five goals and two assists as the Crusaders (14-2) defeated the Hawks in the District 24 semifinal in West Palm Beach.

King’s Academy 11, Park Vista 10: Marsh MacKenzie scored five goals and Cami VanWart added three as the Lions (13-2) edged the Cobras in the District 25 semifinal in Lake Worth. Blair Mason scored eight goals for the Cobras (5-10). The Lions will face Wellington in the district final at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Oxbridge Academy 22, Suncoast 6: Skylar Simmonds scooped in six goals, Lucy Ream contributed five goals and goalie Olivia Cates grabbed seven saves as the ThunderWolves defeated the Chargers in a district semifinal matchup.
