Boys volleyball: John I. Leonard remains undefeated with sweep


Josue Rodriguez had 22 assists, leading the undefeated John I. Leonard boys volleyball team to a 25-14, 25-15, 25-14 sweep of Lake Worth on Tuesday in Greenacres.

Rogelio Diaz added 21 kills for the Lancers (6-0).

Palm Beach Gardens d. Seminole Ridge 25-18, 25-16, 25-21: Jeff Olson had eight kills and seven digs and Zach Herb added 19 digs as the Gators (5-0) swept the Hawks.

Forest Hill d. Santaluces 25-16, 25-20, 25-12: Parker Murray had five kills, but the Chiefs were swept by the Falcons in Lantana.

Dwyer d. Jupiter 26-24, 22-25, 25-21, 25-16: Noah Mertens had 14 service points and 11 kills as the Panters (1-2) defeated the Warriors in Jupiter.

West Boca Raton d. Boca Raton Christian 28-26, 25-16, 25-15: Trveor Marcus had 25 assists and six digs, Mike Valenzi added nine kills and nine digs and Matt Gaffey contributed five kills and seven digs as the Bulls (6-0) swept the Blazers.

Wellington d. Palm Beach Central 25-20, 25-23, 24-26, 25-16: Joey Piz had 28 digs and 19 service points, but the Broncos (2-3) fell to the Wolverines.
