Boys volleyball: John I. Leonard improves to 14-5 with sweep


Josue Rodriguez had 29 assists and 16 service points, leading the John I. Leonard boys volleyball team to a 25-22, 25-10, 25-10 sweep of Forest Hill on Tuesday night.

Jorian Rivera added 19 kills for the Lancers (14-5).

Wellington d. Lake Worth 25-9, 25-21, 25-14: Cole Linnus had 14 kills and four aces and Adam Figman added 14 service points as the Wolverines (15-5) swept the Trojans in Wellington.

Atlantic d. West Boca Raton 25-18, 20-25, 25-19, 18-25, 15-11: Anthony Ging had 12 kills and five blocks and Evan Giuliano added 10 kills and seven blocks, but the Bulls (8-4) fell to the Eagles.

Park Vista d. Santaluces 25-19, 25-10, 25-13: Mason Medina had 14 assists and eight service points; Joe Montgomery added 12 service points and six digs, and Mason Joy contributed nine digs as the Cobras (13-8) swept the Chiefs.

Trinity Christian d. Palm Beach Central 28-26, 25-21, 25-20: Daeniel Lagoc had 17 digs and five service points and Daniel Garbarsky added 14 digs, 10 kills and eight service points as the Warriors (11-8) swept the Broncos.
