Boys soccer: Spanish River tops American Heritage


Greg Aronstam and Alex Martinez each scored a goal, helping the Spanish River boys soccer team edge American Heritage 2-1 on Friday night in Boca Raton.

Nick Tucker had five saves in goal for the Sharks (3-2).

John I. Leonard 1, Dreyfoos 0: Mario Ponce scored the lone goal as the Lancers (2-0) got past the Jaguars in Greenacres.

Palm Beach Lakes 7, Seminole Ridge 1: Wilmer Romero had two goals and an assist and Couz Corleto added two goals as the Rams (2-1) rolled past the Hawks in Loxahatchee. Danny Martinez contributed a goal and two assists in the win.

Lake Worth 8, Inlet Grove 0: Javier Cabrera, Lashaun Brown, Bill Joseph, Revol Djeth-Billy each scored two goals and John Rodriguez earned his second shutout as the Trojans (2-0) routed the Hurricanes in Riviera Beach.

Berean Christian 8, Lake Worth Christian 2: Alden Stacie had a goal and an assist and Nick Adolphy added a goal as the Bulldogs handled the Defenders late Thursday in Boynton Beach.

Trinity Christian 2, Hobe Sound-Pine School 1: Jorges Zambrano and Naisier Gunipa each scored a goal as the Warriors (2-0-1) topped the Knights in Hobe Sound.
