Boys basketball: Benjamin stops West Boca Raton


Skylar Twyman scored 13 points, leading the Benjamin boys basketball team to a 65-47 victory over West Boca Raton on Thursday night in Palm Beach Gardens.

Steele Carson added 12 points and Kaiir Elam contributed 11 for the Buccaneers (12-6).

Jupiter Christian 80, Berean Christian 59: Gethro Germinal scored 21 points, Gedeon Germinal added 20 and Toler Reif contributed 13 as the Eagles (14-4) rolled over the Bulldogs in Jupiter.

Cardinal Newman 59, King’s Academy 46: Emmanuel Onuama had 20 points, 20 rebounds and nine blocks and Chris Kent added 20 points and nine rebounds as the Crusaders (5-7) defeated the Lions in West Palm Beach. Calvin Johnson scored 16 points for King’s.

Fort Lauderdale-Pine Crest 72, American Heritage 40: Aamir Justice scored 19 points, but the Stallions (0-13) fell to the Panthers in Delray Beach.
